ABOUT US
Ronan Heaney (from Co. Mayo, Ireland) and his wife, TC, opened two Irish pub/restaurants called McNamara's (1997-2018) & Paddy Mac's (1998-present) and eventually welcomed their two daughters, Molly & Hailey.
Originally living in Chicago, the Heaney Family moved north in 2020. They reside right here in Glenview with the girls having attended/attending local high schools (Molly- Regina Dominican Class of 2023
Hailey- Loyola Academy Class of 2027)!
In 2023, the Heaney Family took over Whiskey River. After a bit of cleaning and enhancing, Whiskey River Bar & Grill was officially reopened on July 10 with its grand opening celebration a month later on August 12.
The bar has been around for a long time and the Heaney Family couldn't be happier to continue its legacy. The entire family has been involved in making sure Whiskey River is the best it can be. We strive to be a cozy place within the community that fosters a sense of belonging, camaraderie, & warmth for all those who walk through our doors.
